Each employee of Bernard/Allison attends training classes. We have training sessions for each site job category including administrative, sales, housekeeper, and maintenance. In addition, specialty trainings are held throughout the year for air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, painting/drywall, and pool maintenance.

 

To provide the most effective and professional leasing staff in the market, each consultant is given two training sessions which are described very briefly:

Sales Training  

  • Marketing tools - employer outreach program, competitive pricing summaries, know your competition, area information, resident referral programs, posters, fliers, special interest programs
  • Fair Housing Laws, Arizona Residential Landlord/Tenant Act, and ADA Compliance
  • Pre-tour inspections/site and employee appearance standards
  • Telephone skills
  • Sales techniques/closing the sale
  • Sales evaluations
  • Resident retention - 24-hour emergency maintenance; helpful, kind and courteous; resident referral programs; lease renewal techniques; resident activities; site standards-common areas; night lighting; etc.

Computer Training - Property accounting package as well as Excel or other programs needed to administer site policies

Pricing Summary and “Know Your Competition” Training

We also require our maintenance supervisors and maintenance personnel to attend classes taught by our vendors in the following areas:
